Repowering Montana,
One Community at a Time
How can we work together in Montana to bring about ENERGY SAVINGS for our families, schools, cities and counties? How much of our transportation fuel can we grow right here at home? What's already happening in Montana to address CLIMATE CHANGE and ENERGY SECURITY? What are the OBSTACLES to energy conservation and renewable energy? What role can you play in shifting this region and this state towards a cleaner and more reliable energy system for everyone in Montana?
These questions and more will be tackled in a town hall style meeting led by AERO, the Alternative Energy Resources Organization, based in Helena. Ben Brouwer, AERO's Renewable Energy & Conservation Program Manager will present the organization's recently published energy plan, Repowering Montana: A Blueprint for Home Grown Energy Self-Reliance. Ben will also share examples of what other communities are doing around the state to conserve energy and localize energy production. Following the presentation will be a discussion focused on identifying ways of increasing energy conservation and renewable energy sources in Montana.
